Not Ranked. Helpful AND tactful post? : 0 I just found out that my "female" guinea pig is really a male. I also housed them together for two months. I just recently saw him mounting her, but she didn't look like she liked it. Do guinea pigs get pregnant really fast even though they are not in heat? Do you think she is pregnant? Please help. |

Have you separate them? If not, please do it ASAP. Not sure what you mean how fast. Males guinea pigs can impregnate females at 3 weeks of age. |

It's very possible. She can only get pregnant when she's in heat but in two months time, she would have been in heat a few times. They go into heat about every 16 days. Did you check to see if he has a penis? Sows will mount other sows. |

It only takes seconds for them to mate but the sow has to be in heat. Have you looked at http://www.guinealynx.info/sexing.html Sexing Guinea Pigs: How to Sex a Guinea Pig |

Not Ranked. Helpful AND tactful post? : 0 Yes, I checked the sex of him. I'm positive that he's a male. I've separated them already. I hope she's not in heat. Thank You |
