I am not sure how many babies Olive is going to have but I noticed today that her pelvic bones are spread about 2 fingertips apart and I am wondering about how much longer or how far spread does the pelvic bones need to be before she has the babies?

I have not noticed any spotting or anything like that and no other signs of complications and she appears to be doing just fine but I would like to know what others think as far as about how long till I should see babies running around?

Just want to add that I got Olive in the 1st or 2nd week of Aug. and she was already pregnant and my friend didn't want her because she was pregnant so I said I would take her.

That's sad that your friend didn't want her because she was pregnant. Did your friend put her in that situation? Or did your friend get her and not realize she was pregnant? Anyways, hope that you have a complication free delivery.

I think that she original had 2 males and was told that Olive was a male and as it turned out Olive was a female atleast that is what I was told and instead makeing Olive live alone she figured it would be best to rehome her to someone that already had other females that she could be housed with and she didn't want to have to deal with babies either.

I am doing the best that I can right now, and I am a bit worried since her pelvic bones are spread to about 2 finger tip wide (I think its equivelant to 1 inch) how much more wider will her pelvic bones spread before she has them?

Nevermind on the question above on guinealinx it says that their pelvic bones can spread to 1inch -1.5 inch just before delivery so she could have anytime now. I will let all know when the babies are born.

I will post pics and I am unsure if we will be keeping any babies are not I think it is going to depend on how many she has and of course howmany is female or males.

That's great that she seems fine, I hope all goes well. My piggie Fendi just gave birth(quite unexpectedly) to 2 new piggies. I made the mistake of buying her from a pet store. I had no idea that they mixed sexes(among other things.) But they are little miracles in themselves and I am going to keep them but once I sex them(if one is male) I'll have to get another cage! Any advice from anyone?

I was hopeing to see babies when I got up this morning, but nope not yet. Any guesses as to when she might have them.

I just checked her again and her pelvic bones are now spread about 2 1/2 fingertips, so that should be really soon.

I was up kind of late last night and by the way Olive was acting I wa pretty sure the babies would be here by morning.

Momma and babies appear to being doing well, she had four babies. I think but will be checking again next week and every few days so that any males can be seperated that their is 3 girls and 1 boy.

I will upload some individual pics to my gallery later but I hope you all like the pic that I posted now sorry its a little dark since I used my cell phone and later I will get some with the camera.
