Our Mission! You can join our community and never post a thing. Some people do that. But, that's rather like joining a sports team and always sitting out on the sidelines! It's like going to a party, and spending the entire time watching everyone else chat, socialize and have fun--from a distance!

Actually, we are on a mission and we need your help. Here's a little secret. There is only ONE reason for the existence of this forum. It isn't to have fun and talk about guinea pigs. It isn't to even talk about your cages. It isn't for you to get ideas about your cages. The website itself is rich enough in content, photos, ideas and examples. The mission of the Guinea Pig Cages Community is to empower you to act as an ambassador (or role model) in your sphere of influence to improve, enrich and even save the lives of as many guinea pigs as possible by leadership, example, education, championing and activism.
At a minimum, if all you do is build a C&C cage for your cavies, you are doing a great service for more than just your guinea pigs. You are setting an example of a greater standard of living for your pets to your family and friends. Within your world, you become an example of the proper way to treat even the lowly guinea pig--a mere rodent to most people. Every additional step you take to influence others--from chatting with co-workers or schoolmates, to passing out care sheets at your local shelter, to boycotting pet stores that sell animals--every effort you make has a ripple effect in the world at large.
Sooner or later, our ripples will evolve into a social norm. That is how it happens. YOU MATTER. Everything you do MATTERS. Every decision you make, MATTERS.
So, again, welcome to Guinea Pig Cages. We have a very strong sense of who we are. We have a very strong sense of purpose. We actually do like to have fun! How can anyone who likes cavies not like to have fun?
But, there are plenty of have fun, feel good, anything goes guinea pig forums on the net. We have a rather unique community with a great mix of ages and interests, but most of us are pretty fixated on improving the welfare of our cavy charges.
