| Good floor time mat? I have hard wood and tile floors and it seems that the pigs don't like running around because they slip. I put down fleece for them but since it's on wood it slips then they slip making them even less likely to run. I was thinking about using those childrens' foam "puzzle piece" mats like they have at Rona. They look like this: Would this be ok for the pigs? They make them for toddlers so I should be able to find a non toxic version. Would I have to put fleece down or would they be ok just on that? Thanks |

| Re: Good floor time mat? It's not so much for aborbance as is is traction. They are pretty well litter trained. (for pee, but I don't mind the poop so much. That's what my dust buster's for) I just find that fleece over hardwood is very slippery. It's like having ice skating pigs Even if the pee seeps through the cracks I can use a swiffer wet to clean it up. I love having no carpet. That was the selling point of this aprtment. I've killed two vacum cleaners between my mid back length hair, my husband's but length hair, 2 cats and now 3 pigs. We just all seem to do better without carpet 0.o Last edited by Sabriel : 04-17-05 at 11:19 am. Reason: Grammar |

| Re: Good floor time mat? Wow! Your husband sure does have long hair! I too have wooden floors and the pigs tend to slip all over the place. But if the pee seeps through the jigsaw peices, won't they start to smell? I say put fleece on top |

| Re: Good floor time mat? Thats' ok. Husband says "thanks". His net name is Shaggy for a reason The only reason I wanted to know if I should use fleece is that the pigs may nibble or lick the foam. I may put fleece down just in case. They do have the occasional accident and I haven't got the new piggie trained quite yet. Last edited by Sabriel : 04-17-05 at 03:24 pm.
