Question The Difference??

Hello,

I'm somewhat new to the guinea pig owning business (not really a business, but whatever). This site has been a HUGE help for me, except for one thing! What is the difference between floor time and lap time?

I think lap time is when I am holding my piggies, and floor time is where they can run around. Am I right?

Re: The Difference??

yup. helps piggies get used to you . Offer a few veggies while sitting on your lap. (will help you and piggie to bond) Floor time is important here is a link that you can read up on.

Re: The Difference??

You are correct.

Lap time is for you, not the pigs.

1 hour of floor time a day is recommended. This is most important for people with small cages, but even if you have a very large cage, it gives them a chance to explore a new environment.
