Not Ranked. Helpful AND tactful post? : 0 My Guinea Pigs are Shy and Seem to Hate Floortime | | I have had my two guinea pigs for almost a year. They seem to get along and run about their cage. My cage is very large and plenty big for four guinea pigs let alone two. When I take them out for floortime and for their salad around 8 or 9 at night they hide and quickly eat. Ginger is very active and runs around exploring but soon after she is bored of the salad she tries to jump back into her cage. Dixie is very shy and usually only follows Ginger around if she explores or hides in a box. I take them out almost every night for about 20 minutes, maybe I need to take them out more? It seems like they prefer to be in their cage though and that they feel uncomfortable when they are out for floortime. I don't want to keep feeling like they are upset or distraught when I take them out. Does anyone have any advice for me? How can I make floortime more pleasurable for the pigs and myself? |
