If its an area thats totally pig proof and there's nothing for them to get into, stepping away for a bit should be fine, if you are sure they'd be safe, but I'd check up on them often (every couple mins) though to make sure they haven't found anything. If there's any area's that could be a problem I'd watch them.
It depends on the pigs, but my boys would have no problem hopping up and down there, they scale my basement steps like they're nothing. Watch out for the bottom of that shower curtain and the rug, my boys would have a field day chewing those.

3. http://i43.tinypic.com/2en714l.jpg -would this large shower work for part of the floor time area? There is a sauna behind it that I would have to make a seperator for it, grids would work for that, correct.
|
Yes, but make sure to cover it with blankets or towels, also make sure they can't get to the plastic. Grids would work, make sure they don't push them over or pull them apart (my pigs have figured out how to knock down grid gates)
It looks fine, but...more the magazines, watch so they dont chew the rugs, and move that what ever that is with the electrical cord. I'd also cover the floor with towels or something soft to walk on. You might want to watch them with the trash can there, or move it.

5. how long should floor time last?

Its up to you, and how well the pigs are doing. A few hours would be good, if they are having fun. About 2-3.
