Question Smell during floor time?

I put my guinea pig out for floor time in my bathroom and he was out there for about 2 hours. When I went back into the bathroom it smelt really bad. It wasn't really the poo smelling either. Anyone know what it was and how I can stop it?

Re: Smell during floor time?

Sometines Cujo seems to drag his bottom on the floor during floor time and it does seem to emit an odor. Maybe it is coming from their perianal sac. I know that some poo and other debris does collect in there and when they press it on the floor I can understand that an odor may be released. Could this be it?

Re: Smell during floor time?

Yeah, it's their scent glands going overdrive in an attempt to clain the new territory. It smells bad, but just ventilate and it should be ok.
