Not Ranked. Helpful AND tactful post? : 0 I have a 2x5 grid and 2x4 grid C&C cage. Does the floor time area need to be bigger than this? Or is it mainly to just get them out of their cages so they can explore? I was thinking about buying the 14 inch grids from Target and using connectors, but this won't be easily collapsible and I don't want to spend a lot of money on something that's not much bigger than their cages now. Any ideas on this? |

I would say get the grids but don't use the connectors, use cable ties to connect them then you can collapse down the floor time pen. |

Floor time areas should be larger than the cage so they can exercise well. |

I used the 11 grids I had left and connected them with zip ties. I would recommend that you do you the grids because the floor space should be as large as you can make it. The extra space provides fun and exercise. Currently I leave my space set up in my basement so it makes it a lot easier then cleaning it up everytime. |

I use about a 1x2 yard floor time area with shelfing. I found shelfing cheaper where I live. You can just go to about any "Do-it-yourself" type of store and get it. Um, I hope that helps. |

The floor time area is a place for piggies to explore an environment other than their cage. It can be as big asd you want. Coco's petstore cage that he lives in is fairly small, so when he is outside, he gets between a 2x4 and a 4x4. If you have alot of grids, make it as big as you want! I am sure the piggies wouln't mind! |
