Not Ranked. Helpful AND tactful post? : 0 I have this little strip of fleece from an old 'piggie' blanket that I sometimes tease My Guys with-flick it at them (never in their faces), dangle it at them, shake it at them-you get the idea. I don't do it very often and never for more than a few minutes at a time cause it might hurt their tiny hearts. They seem to like it-they run and hop and popcorn all over the place, they try to hide and peek at me with one eye to see what I'm doing now and afterwards, they're extra sweet. I keep telling myself that as long as they don't start acting afraid of me or start squealing or clicking their teeth at me telling me to leave them alone, it's OK...they know I'm playing with them, but then it hit me today...do they, or do they wonder why Mommy is trying to hurt them? I'd love to know what some more experienced 'Piggie Parents" think!(I've had My Guys for 3 years.) |

From what you have said, it sounds like they know you are playing with them, because they get excited. With my rabbits I like playing tug of war with some hay. I know they like it, because they have piles of hay available to eat, but they will choose to tug on the piece I am tempting them with. |

Thanks for answering me,vics2004! You made me feel so much better! Usually, when I post some question in this forum, several people answer me right away...sometimes within hours! I wonder why this time nobody paid any attention to me except you? Thanks again!! |

Not many people answered because no one probably does that with their guinea pigs, haha. |

I do the same with my pigs! My one piggy Basil (well ok, he is my mums piggie) loves that game! I dangle it in front of his face then pull it away a bit then he popcorns and go chasing after it! Its sooooo cute! I think the piggys know its playing and not trying to hurt them or else they would run off! |
