Yes

Piggies are so funny. My last piggie would sit like a lump on the floor or run up onto our lap. Cujo loves floor time. He runs all over the place, back and forth, popcorning the whole time. He runs laps around our coffee table, takes a rest, then starts all over again. Each piggie is different. Maybe putting things on the floor that he can safely investigate would peak his interest and get him moving.

when you take them out dont take their houses away from them itll just frighten them even more. After awhile they'll get used to it and slowly come out of their houses

Thumbs up

I agree...you should just try to give him things to play with...first give him hay but not too much! you dont want him to go to the bathroom all over the place....I just recently gave him a grocery back and he really enjoyed it...first he ran laps around it...then he sniffed it...then he kept running in and out and it gave him a place to hide and play~

See if you can leave your pig out in floor time for a whole day- - your piggies biological clock may not be meshing with the time you put him out for floor time - mine tend to run around nightly at 11 pm!

Smile

I only have my Cujo, but as long as I am laying on the floor when he is out he has a grand old time. He hops and skips and runs and jumps and I am constantly laughing out loud when he is out. If I leave the room or go up on a chair he will go under the coffee table and rest until I return. It really is kind of funny. i really do think that he thinks I am his mom or girlfriend. Either way he makes me smile all the time.

I have six pigs, grouped in trios. Floor time is a party for the three piggies, running, jumping and playing all over the living room.

I'm wondering how a six-pig floor time would be, but I need some spaying/neutering done fist.

we jave the same thing with our Gp's in their free run outside . The ayy line up (all 6 of them) : father , mother , child , cxhild , child , child and they start running around the tree in one straight line . Then they scatter and start popcorning when jumping on and off the exercise court znd the ramps . After an hour thye stop doing and all go ly down and rest ( longest time they rested : 1 hour without moving) its really fun to see

Re: My Gp Hates Floor Time??

I guess all guinea piggys are different. Ruth doesn't really like when I put things on the ground ( hehe she just pushes them out of the way with her head!) She likes it when I just put her down in the kitchen and she'll run around underneath the cabinets and stuff. It's cute!

Re: My Gp Hates Floor Time??

if your pigs is new, and if in their previous location they did not get floor time, it is natural for them to be cautious and submissive at first. after a few weeks of regularly being given floor time, they will jump right in exitedly and they will love you for it.

Re: My Gp Hates Floor Time??

even after six months of daily floor time, dollie will sit there and look pretty (though Ragz and floppy run around like nuts) of course, her pregnancy might have had something to do with it
