Not Ranked. Helpful AND tactful post? : 0 how long should be floor time and playtime and how do you dogproof your area? because i have a dog and i am going to get two and i just want to know things so that way i can make them happy and i will spoil them to death anyway thats my Qustion ![]() |

I am not sure about your first question, but the best solution for dog-proofing an area (in my opinion) is to keep the dogs either outside the house or in a completely different room. That's what I'm going to do with my piggies, when I take them out... I'll keep my cat locked out of the room they're in so she can't bother them. |

I usually have an hour or so of floor time twice a day. If you could do that once a day I think that would be ok (although I am new to this). As far as dog proofing goes, your best bet is to keep the dogs away from where you are. Close doors, whatever you can to keep the dog completely out of sight during floor time. |

Do you have a crate to put the dogs in? Or a leash to put on them? I would put them in a crate (or on a leash) in another room, AND close doors to seperate... that way if someone opens the door without realizing the dogs are there, they can't bound out and jump on your cavies. |

K i was just wondering because i am going to get a new room and i will have my cavies in my room so i can make them their own big area. and my dog will be in there too and i was just worryed i wil do that thanks |
