Outside Play I have a huge bird avery in the backyard (no birds in it) and it is fully secure, it has shady areas and sunny areas and I think my piggies would love some time to run around in there. The only problem is that the ground of it is paved. Any suggestions as to what I can put down to make it cavy friendly?

Re: Outside Play Maybe put some fleece down to make it nice and soft? Or a large towel? A shower curtain might work too. You'd need to attach the fleece/towel/shower curtain to the edges of the avery so that it doesn't blow away.

Re: Outside Play Yeah, they should be fine on part of it cemented. Just put in a box with hay in it, and lay a piece of fleece down secured with bricks. That way they can get off of the cement if they want to! Lucky you! I wish i had something cool like that for mine to play in!! :0)

Re: Outside Play Okay I bought some carpet pieces, they are like fleece mats about 1 x 2 grids and layed them on the bottom of the avery, put my piggies in and after they explored they all started popcorning. They are so happy!

Re: Outside Play That's great! There's nothing more my pigs enjoy than being outside. It's getting cold here, so I'm going to have to cut down their "outside play" though.

Re: Outside Play I'm glad it's finally cooling off here, I can finally make my guys a playpen and bring them outside!
