Grazing in the Grass

My Cavy LOVES to graze in the grass during outside time. Is this normal? It probably is, I'm just checking.

Re: Grazing in the Grass

Yes - it's normal! My piggies' most favorite alltime food is grass! I go outside and pick it for them! Now it's winter - it's stopped growing, it is more difficult! They wheek like mad when they hear the back door go - whether I have grass or not!

Re: Grazing in the Grass

Mine Weaks like mad whenever I open the refrigerator door. She likes carrots and cabbage more than grass. But she still loves grass A LOT. We call her "Little Lawnmower" because you can see where she's been, if you know what I mean (makes a little path in the grass).

Re: Grazing in the Grass

Mine also loves grass. She sometimes even chitters madly at me if I havn't given her the time she feels is right out there, which seems to be a few hours. She also seems to take the same path around the deck poles, you can see a path of super-short grass on one side of each pole.

Re: Grazing in the Grass

I'm sure mine would love grass if we had any, my friend's guinea pigs do.
