I feel awfull. My house has been infested my mice, so far it's been on male fully grow, one female and one tiny baby! When I first say the male in the trap I was glad because they are peeing and pooping everywere in our house but then I wasn't so happy to see a tiny baby in the trap. I feel awful. I wish that they would have left by themself. Also one side of me tells be that's it's not too bad because there's so many mouses every where, but babies! I know they are going to grow put still. Am I as cruel as I feel or not so?

I use mouse traps, wooden one, that have the metal so when they come for the bait they move a clip and a metal trap which is holden by the metal piece that hold the bait fold backwards and the mice is trap and dies pretty quickly from what I've seen with the 3 mouses.

Humane traps just trap them in a little cage and you let them go in a field.

Humane traps work well but are very slow. Where are they getting in? Block up all the holes you can see. Make sure all sources of food are in plastic containers - they can gnaw through but takes them longer! If it becomes a real infestation of mice you are better off calling in the professionals.

It is sad to kill them, but you must protect your pet rodents. Wild mice can carry disease and parasites to many of our pets.

Divine, you are soo right I didn't think of that. I don't think we are super infected it was only a familly, I think maybe of three since yesterday we haven't caugth any more, I'm glad that we might have caugth them all.

I am all for humane traps. But, If you have to kill them, I suppose using poison would be more humane then those wood traps. I am not sure though. I would have a hard time if I HAD to kill a mouse. I would probibly try to prevent them from coming into the house in the first place. Look under your sinks, along the walls, and cupboards (at floor level), dryer vent, ect... for poss. holes they could have come thru. Plug up the holes with steel wool. That works from what I hear. I think it is messed up to love one kind of rodent and to kill another as if its life meant nothing. It is as easy to set a humane trap as to set a death trap. The animals were here before us and we invaded their home. Not the other way around.

Rat poision is a horrible way to die. From what I read about it as a QA (the dept does pest control too) it is not a fun way to die.

I second the use of humane traps. A mouse is not that different from a gp. I would rather catch them and let them go in a field.

Once we got mouse traps that killed the animals quickly and without breaking skin. I felt bad too.
(This may not help, but pea nut butter works as bait, but I think of it as a last meal)

That's what I used peanut butter, it works too good if you ask me. I think that we caugth all of them because it makes about 1 week that there has been no mouse in the traps. We caugth 3.

Mouse poison makes the animal nearly immobile and die of thirst, at least that's what I thing it does. The only way to go( in my opinion) is humane traps, though my parents wouldn't use them.
