I have been reading page after page of hamster information and on every page they say a hamster can eat cooked eggs, has anyone ever heard of this What fruits and veggies should a hamster get ever once in awhile? Any advice will be helpful. |

When I had a hamster, I gave him hard boiled eggs, Cheerios, small pieces of cucumber, a shred or two of carrot, tiny bits of mashed potato, and an occasional curd of cottage cheese. One of his favorites was also raw peanuts in their shells. |

My hamsters got many different small pieces of veggie. With my last hamster, a small bit of carrot was especially a big hit. Like Percy's Mom, plain cheerios, nuts, hard boiled egg were also enjoyed. On occaision I have fed cottage cheese, which is adorable to watch them pick up the (small) lump in their paws while nibbling it. |

Click the link and there is a list of Food for your hamster May i add you can give them Milk Bones(Dog treats/biscuits)as long as they don't have garlic, onion, or to much salt in them. I use Milk Bone selections premium biscuits for puppies and it has 'puppy' written in white on a a blue rectangle. My hamsters love them. |

My daughter's hamster loves apples, broccoli, carrots and pepper (Green, yellow, red). She absolutely does not like cheese. She also has some treats that are not full of sugar or honey they're called AnimaLovens apple strudels. One of the few commercial treats I could find that wasn't loaded with honey and sugar. |
