What kind of birds and how developed are they? Feathers? Moving around? Young baby birds are very very hard to raise. You should try to find a wild life rehabber if you want to save them. Unless they are far along they probably won't survive the night without care. That includes feeding. Helping Injured and Orphaned Birds If they are fully feathered and just not quite flying yet then it is possible to save them. They will already be trying to find food on their own and will be flying in a day or 2. Otherwise it's extremely difficult. |

I would leave them, maybe make sure they are safe from rain (Like what is coming boths yours and my way in Massachusetts), and other weather elements, such as sun etc... If you are very concerned about them, call the MSPCA of an animal control, or get them to a local vet. There are many branches to the MSPCA. Methuen, Worcester, Brewster, Centerville, Boston, and I think there is one more, but I am not sure. Good Luck! Let me know what happens! |

I could not believe my eyes when I saw that a bird came to my makeshift "rehab center!" She has been caring for them for two days and they are all doing excellently! The babies are fully feathered and move around smoothly, and they will start flying soon! I'm so happy and amazed another bird came to help! |

Aw thats so sweet. I've had to take care of very young baby birds that were litarly(sp?) dropped right in front of me. We found a rehab ledy near by and to this day I don't know the fate of them. Last edited by AnimalHouse36; 06-02-08 at 06:39 pm. Reason: Chat Talk |
