Chin antics

Here is Buddy my chinchilla. Just a darling rascal.

Well here he is attacking the guinea pig's cage ever since I repositioned it. He hates them:

Here he is in action:

And here he is last year just loving with my granddaughter:

Re: Chin antics

Buddy's so cute. He looks like my chin, Buster, but Buster is darker. I used to have a picture of him in the gallery, in the cages for other pets part.

Re: Chin antics

I am adding to this thread for furkidsmommy. She is adopting a chin and I want to give her more details about how we have changed Buddy's cage over the year.

It is originally a Super Pet XL. I added a leap n ledge, igloo and corner shelf to it. After a few weeks I bought a 'chinchilla' cage. I removed the cage part and attached it to the Super Pet:

Then he moved into the living room:

The Super Pet wheel didn't last. He ran it off the axis.

Here are more details:
We hung a ball from the top of his cage with heavy duty picture wire:

We got a Chin Spin wheel

He was moved into the dining room and we enlarged the cage with extra grids we had:

Re: Chin antics

A few more odd pics. For his b-day we got him this man. He loves him!

The 'chinchilla' cage came with shleves. one was for a food dish but I place it as a pop through hole for him:

I use a bird food crock as a food dish. He never gets bird poops in it at all.
I have just seen water bottle protectors on the Internet. Get one. He popped 3 bottles and the only reason he can't get to the one he has now is I left the attachment on his cage from an old flat back bottle!

Re: Chin antics

I think that if you add another level in that cage, you should be okay at least temporarily. That will allow you to get a gauge for her mobility and how well she/he jumps and how close together you'll need to build your levels in your new cage.
