Yeah, I got Dobby working there before I knew better. He's two years old. My other five hamsters and my mouse were all rescues. Zoey (my guinea pig) was also a rescue. Two of my ferrets were rescues. And two of my dogs and two of my cats were rescues as well. I bought my fish there too, b/c I haven't been able to find a fish rescue.

Yea, I never heard of a fish rescue. I'm sure someone will come up with it some day.

Yes, he gets enough air. I have 18 holes drilled all the way around the tub. I use to have Dobby in a 20L Gallon aquarium and he just stayed in one corner, which is what he does in the tub. My other hamsters all run around their tubs. I have this one hamster named Winky and everytime I look into her tub, she's running around and around and around...you get the picture.... Silly girl. He gets 30 minutes out of tub time every day too. I'm going to be so sad when he's gone. He's my first hamster and by far my favorite.

Hehe, when I open my supply store/rescue I will include fish just for all of you pet-fish people out there! I miss having hammies and gerbils!

lilchris_28, It cool that your pets are rescues. I have 3 cats, 2 dog, 4 frogs, 2 geckos, 1 turtle that were all rescues.

Dobby's gorgeous!! He looks so happy in his cage.. he has lots of goodies in there. I'm going to make one of those for my Potter so he can get a bigger wheel. He's gotten so fat that when he tries to run on his wheel his fat little butt dips off onto the side, but it's the only wheel that can fit in his cage.

I've been letting him run around my room for long periods at a time to make up for it, but it's hell getting him to come out when he finds a little spot to hide in.

He's going to get one of those bin cages for christmas.

You know.. I've only heard of one shelter with fish but I believe it was in Mass.? I seen it on petfinder a few weeks ago. I thought it was cute, but I'm all the way on this side of the world.

Did you name Dobby after the little elf on Harry Potter?

Yeah, and I also have Fang (Hagrid's dog-though the name suits her), Winky (the other elf), Skeeter (the journalist), Ron, and Amos Diggory (Cedric's Dad).

That's how I got Potter's name.

Haha!! Peg's, I use the themed names mostly on my fish.. My corys are Ethel, Lucy, and Fred... my eels are Larry, Moe, and Curly. LOL.. I use lots of "old" shows for their names. I love theme based names.. it kind of tells you what the personality of the pet is.
