Celebrity: Bob Barker and animal rights

Bob Barker was being interviewed on my local radio station about his new book this morning. "Priceless Memories"
Thing is, I've only known about him because of The Price is Right because that's pretty much what he has done during the entirety of my life.
However, I learned from the radio interview today that Bob Barker is a big advocate for animal rights!

Basically, the main DJ talked about how he bought Bob Barker's microphone after Bob Barker left The Price is Right.
Bob Barker got all excited because the microphone in question was donated to an animal charity, and Bob Barker knew how much the radio station DJ must have put towards that animal charity to get the microphone.
Then, Bob Barker talked about how all the profits of his new book will be going to an animal charity that he founded!
After that, they talked about how Bob Barker and fur. As the story on the radio goes, Bob was opposed to a beauty pageant in which the ladies were to come out with fur coats over their swimsuits. It got a lot of media, and really helped out the anti fur movement.
