Really? Your starting a debate about this? Now? All of the things your are saying have been said before, debated before, and settled already. I, and I am sure I am not alone on this one, do not feel like going into another downward spiral of a conversation with someone who is not even very familiar with the forum.

If you are pro horse drawn carriages, good for you, I do not care, and I am not going to spend my time trying to convince someone who will never see through the wool that covers his eyes.

At this point, I have good reason to believe you are a part of the crew that likes to jump from forum to forum debating this subject.

Also, that member, now banned, was PETA bashing. Apparently he could not read because it says that is not allowed. If you have a problem with that, then I guess you just have to learn to deal with it. Thats life.

I'm not sure where all the histrionics and conjecture came from. I merely pointed out that it was rather closed minded to refute someone because 'the rules say you can't say that'. I said nothing whatsoever about the specific issue, PETA, animal rights, ect.; so I don't know why you feel I'm starting a debate over anything or why you're led to believe I'm just a troublemaker. Get over yourself.

I find it rather humorous when people make the statement: "you people take yourselves too seriously." When in fact, it is the person who is actually making the statement that is taking themselves to seriously.

You are obviously on the other side of the spectrum of the whole animal rights issue, that have ridiculous views about how animals don't feel pain, and animals are animals so they should be treated as such....whatever. It is speciesism, believing that humans are the only animals deserving of proper treatment. But, I don't know who you are or what you believe, but you sure have a nasty attitude.

You could have easily browsed the forum and read previous thread and debates over the exact issue you bring up. Are you just so lazy that you want to dig up another argument?

Bottom line, this is a private site run by an rescuer who can put in place any rule she wishes to have. She does not allow PETA bashing on her private site. End of story.

You can believe in whatever you want to believe in. If you want to bash PETA, go to PETA sites and do it.

All members of this site must follow the rules, policies or guidelines. If any member isn't willing to do that, well there are a lot of other cavy sites out there.
