Angry The "Green" Pro-Fur Campaign....ugh

I found this website on my Gmail page as an advertisement...I am SO enraged by this website! Fur is Green - A New Vision of Fur, for an Eco-Conscious World!
Obviously, the fur trade has found a new way to make fur seem glamorous again through the avenue of the popular "go green" trend. This makes me angry, because there are a lot of ignorant people out there, whom are following this "green" trend because its the fashionable thing to do these days; are going to think that by buying fur they are doing something good for the world. There are plenty of natural fabrics out there are don't involve the farming of animals.
Did they forget about COTTON? Its a natural fabric that does not support cruelty. They are just using this "fur is green" propaganda to lure people back into buying fur. Not to mention the space, waste (added green house gases kind of like large cow farms), and food. It's not as green of a solution as they are trying to make people believe.
I find it ironic that on this entire website, they do not specify how their farmed animals are "humanely euthanized".

and the part that just really irks me is the section about how they explain that they have to trap animals for their own good, because they will overpopulate and their natural resources for survival will become scarce. Anyone who has taken a basic biology class know about the carrying capacity of an environment.

I can't believe there is actually a "Respect for animals" section! That doesn't make any since!

They do not want to let you know that farmed fur animals must be killed in a way that does not harm the pelt, meaning that they are usually strangled, electrocuted or gassed. Wow, sounds humane to me. Nor do they mention that the tanning process itself uses chemicals, like chromium sulfate, that are hazardous to the environment.

Yes, which is why more recent attacks on fur loving celebrities has been with flour. Think Lindsay Lohan. Although a lot of stars on sunset boulevard were also vandalized, with sayings such as 'fur hag' etc.

Yes. It would be covered under assault and battery if you wanted to go after them civilly. Criminally it would just be simple assault. There are better ways to fight fur than that, in my opinion. Throwing paint just aggravates the situation and gets you into trouble.

That is if they are lucky, otherwise they are skinned alive and conscious. Then left skinless for days until they die.

I never understood using paint to destroy fur coats. They will just go buy a new one, so the people trying to stop this disgusting trend are only encouraging it. I know they have good intentions but really, if someone is going to wear fur, they will just go buy a new one.

Re: The "Green" Pro-Fur Campaign....ugh

Here is a Humane Society article on how fur harms animals, the environment and human health. It was written in direct response to the "Fur is Green" campaign.

Re: The "Green" Pro-Fur Campaign....ugh

This is a terrible subject. I don't get the attraction of fur - feels much better on my pets!!! Its unnatural to have it anyother way.
