Sacto 9-1-1: Roseville man arrested in guinea-pig torture case

It would be very interesting to know where he got them.

Is anyone in Sacto who can keep an eye on this case? Attend hearing, trial, whatever, find out more details, PLEASE?

Great. And a couple days ago like 100 guinea pigs were found bashed in the head. I too would be interested in knowing the jail sentence.

The jury date is on my birthday. Grumbles....

I think anyone who can be as heartless as this may someday be a "real" potential serious danger & threat to society.

Just google search Zoosadism, traits of serial killers "terrible triad" and the link between serial killers & animal cruelty.

Dr.Phil even have an article on the 14 characteristics of a serial killer & #14) is about animal torture/abuse.

He/she have no problem taking "small' lives, why would he/she have a problem taking "bigger" lives when they get the chance to?
A life is still a life right?

I wonder if he was mentally ill? I work in the Mental Health Industry, and I have little tolerance for people using mental illness as an excuse, most people know the difference from right and wrong, however it could have been a factor. I would be curious to find out more details too. (Heavy sigh) If everyone was screening their adopters (in a perfect world where breeders and petstores didn't exist) this would most certainly eliminate this from happening. Poor pigs. It breaks my heart. How could anyone be mean to the little guys? All they want is a warm, clean bed, food, veggies, hay and a buddy. In return they are the sweetest little pets. It's so sad.

OH MY GOD. I can not believe this! I know him! I am from Roseville and I actually went to high school with him! I literally can not believe that. A close friend of mine actually went out with him. What are the chances? My god.

The scariest thing is I just adopted my new piggy from Sacramento Craigslist and picked him up in Roseville. It turns my stomach to think he could have actually gotten a hold of my little guy! Jesus.

I wonder how he was getting them? It's so sad. The scary thing is; animal torture is just the beginning, just like Hueyeats said.

As for him being mentally ill, I'd say he actually seemed pretty normal back in high school. He was kind of a goof off type, never did his homework, smoked a little pot, but I would never think he was that type. In fact I didn't even recognize his picture at first he looked so freaky. I'm still freaked out that I knew him. How weird is that?

Those poor piggies. May they rest in a piggy heaven with as much hay and treats as they can eat.

I had a very hard time sleeping last night after reading about the guinea pig torture case in Sacremento. My daughter and I just watched the video clip of when it was first discovered. His girlfriend was interviewed and claims she had no idea he was doing this or even capable of it. According to the follow up report he worked counseling juveniles.
They didn't get into detail s of what he had done and I'd be terrified to know, however the only surviving pig was being treated for burns. The report today says the pig didn't survive....dying from its injuries.
This is not a man but a sick, "S-O-B". He's no human being but scum. I hope he burns tenfold in hell and suffers ten times more than what those poor blessed pigs went through.
Oh my God, those poor defenseless innocent little animals, how could anyone even concieve the thought to commit such an atrocity. I'd spit on his face if he entered my presence.
My heart is broken for those precious little animals. May God cradle them in his arms and take away the memory and pain of what they went through.
I curse him to hell. May sound harsh but I'm just starting. There should be know forgiveness for this man. If he ever comes around and comes to terms with the realities of what he did, may he never sleep and always be tormented by the crying sounds of those pigs he tortured.

Do you have a link to the clip? I would be interested in seeing it. The story is very sad, but what's even scarier is what happened to this young man that made him become this. He clearly has a lot of anger, rage, and like child molesters and other murders, people like this feel powerful when they can hurt something small and defenseless.

Like I mentioned above, I had classes with this guy in high school and he never seemed to be disturbed in that way. He was a bit of trouble maker, but mostly seemed like an average teen. I have no idea what has happened to him since then. I wonder if they mentioned if he is a drug abuser. He looks like one in his mug shot.

I am still freaked out that I just got my piggy from the sacramento craiglist just recently. The thought that he may have gotten a hold of my little baby makes me want to cry!

Thanks for video. Wow, thats freaky. Yeah, I have to agree. It's sad if he has problems, but I feel he should definitely still be punished. That's a horrible thing he did. I think it's like anything else, murder, child abuse, molestation, etc. I would hope that you DO have psychological problems otherwise you wouldn't do those things, but it's not an excuse.

I can imagine that scene;

"Ten guinea pigs." Says messed up man.
"$200. What da'ya plan on doing?" Says stupid teenager.
"Don't know yet." Says messed up man.
"Have a good day." Says stupid teen.

Replace that with a rescue.
"Ten guiena pigs." Says abuser.
"You'll need to fill out an adoption application." Says rescue volunteer.

Oh I totally agree. Sadly though, he probably went all around town because most pet shops only have 1 to 3 max. So they probably wouldn't suspect.

But even at pet stores they should have some screening process. Just like adopting a child, so they know this kind of thing won't happen. But unfortunately, people at those places just don't care.

It starts with animals. Hopefully he will never be able to do that again. I hope many bad things for him. I can't believe his girlfriend still thinks he's such a wonderful man. He's an idiot and more and obviously so is she.
