Thoroughly disgusting. But with a maximum sentence like this, what deterrent is there to stop such violent psychopaths repeating this kind of thing? Not that the lenient sentence in any way excuses this sicko's slaughter but to some people, who live their life in accordance with the question "what can I get away with?" rather than "what is the right thing to do?" it is the only way to reduce the risk of this happening. sophistacavy, they legislation of countries has maximum sentences for certain crimes. Many horse abusers only get 'wrist-slaps' in the States too, it's just because of how much evidence there is and what the charges are. I know in Canada a child's criminal record will be erased by the time they are 18 too, a kid cannot legally be put in the same jail as adult murderers are. It's just the laws, the judges can't change those. That is sickening, all those poor pigs. There isn't proof of course it was a breeder, but it does sound like a dump. |

Such heartless bullies killing small helpess creatures that can't really fight back. Sickening. I want to go home and hug my own boys! |

Sick, sick and sick!! I do hope they find whoever did this and prosacute to the full extent of the law. I too, agree, six months is not enough. I do not know how much money 20,000 lbs is but maybe it is alot and with jail time and money time it would really put a dent in this person. (I think though that if a person could do this, he has no concious and no amount of punishment will help. He/she needs to be locked away for the rest of his life and the key thrown away!!) Also hope the judge would never let them own any animal again. Hopefully no children either. If they could do this to many helpless, innocent animals, I hate to think what they are capable of. It just infuritates me. Just makes my commitment to animals all the more. To get decent laws that will put these sickos away for a long, long time. Oh my gosh that's terrible! I can't even believe that someone would do something like that!  6 months! 6 months! 6 months shouldn't even be the minimum!  Some crazy person took 124 lives! A guinea pig life is just the same as any other life! If someone killed 124 people I'm sure the penalty would a lot worse than 6 months in jail! (Even though I don't really support the death penalty idea. Killing is just wrong.) |
