That's just horrible! Poor dogs and cats! One time there was this one lady in my neighborhood who had 100+ rabbits in her attic! |

I agree that it is cruel to house animals like that, however, the caretakers of the animals seem to be making significant effort to care for them. As they all appear of very healthy weights and body conditions and the environment that they are in (although tiny) appears to be relatively clean. This is just a matter of someone who wants to help the unwanted pets who needs some much needed help. However, i don't know the exactly what is going on there, I am just forming an opinion on what is presented in the video. |

I wouldn't call it abuse. It looks like those people are only trying to help and its not like they're theirs, they're homeless animals they're trying to adopt out so the small spaces they're living in is only temporary. They look healthy and their areas all look clean. |

Apparently they need help! They want to rescue the dogs and cats, but simply don't have the space for it. Judging for everything else I don't even think they have the resorces either. The perspective of shelters, rescue and adoption in Latin America is not the same as here. Most people are uninform and the ones that are inform don't have resorces to donate to a shelter/rescue or do something significally important to the cause. I beleive that most people here haven't seen doggies (or cats) infested with fleas, ticks or eaten up by mites roaming free in the streets, starving and without propper shelter. I grew up watching that and is the saddest thing you can imagine. At least this people is trying to do something. Most of the people don't care at all. |

That's horrible! It seems like lately as well on the news you heard about things like that more and more now. It's good that there getting busted and getting the help they need from those horrible conditions, but it's absolutley sicken that people are still doing this. What kind of hearts do these people have? What makes them do such dispicable actions? I guess no one will ever know why, but at least there are people there to make things right and give help. |

I saw it when it was first posted, but I never replied. It's horrible. I mean, I understand they were probably just trying to help them, but there is a place where you need to draw the line on just how many you can take in to help. It doesn't even matter if you have the money, if you have to many you can't take care of all of them properly by yourself, you have to have people helping you. |

I agree with you gplover1, no one is superman. We all need help sometime, especially if it in the best interest of someone or something else. A person/ pets health is a vital thing not to screw up! |

I haven't been to Chile, but I have spent a significant amount of time in Nicaragua. Almost all of the animals on the streets are in far, far worse condition than the animals in the video. Clearly it's still far from an ideal situation though. |

Aside from a few sick looking dogs... they all seem pretty happy, tails wagging and all. Where do you think these dogs are going to go when the court orders them GONE? They are all going to be killed, most likely. I think they are better off there while they wait to be adopted out. |

They don't really have the resources for a shelter, this guy was just doing a good deed with what he had. Is it really more cruel than leaving these animals on the streets to die? Of course they are going to be euthanized. They don't have the resources for them. |

So that makes it okay for them to cram a ton of animals in a very tight space? That are obviously not getting proper care (vet and regular, alike)? They obviously aren't trained. Some look like they have behavior problems, probably because they don't have enough space. |

I think this is a case of someone whos heart is in the right place, but they just didn't know where to draw the line. Sometimes it's hard to remember the saying "you can't save them all". This seems like a case of someone that thought they could, but probably became quickly overwhelmed. |
