| Newspaper discourages Easter Animals. Like a lot of people we get a free paper thrown onto our drive every so often. I sometimes flick through it and yesterday was really pleased to see an article about giving animals as Easter gifts. It talked about how giving a duckling/chicken or bunny as a gift was bad idea. They gave links to rabbit.org etc and said rabbits were not as easy to look after as people think and that they often don't like cuddled. A bad point was when talking about birds they just said it was bad because of the birds germs, not that a bird isnt great for a kid for the birds sake but atleast a few people may read it and think better of giving a live animal and give chocolate instead. Good for them. |

| Re: Newspaper discourages Easter Animals. Sounds like a good article! It's beyond me how some people could be so silly to give a duck or bunny as a gift at Easter. Stick to the chocolate eggs I say! |
