Thumbs up Local puppy farm closing down!!!!

This is only a very small piece of local news - but I just had to share it with people who would understand.....

Near me there are two large puppy mills.... they are not the worst kind (they are open to the public so conditions are ok I guess) but they churn out huge numbers of pups to anyone with a credit card. They have an ad in the local papers every week advertising litters from approximately 15-20 different breeds, plus various crosses!!!

I've tried contacting the newspaper asking them to stop advertising for them but to no avail...

Finally I saw something I liked:

"Closing Down Sale"

That means one less puppy farm in the world, and probably hundreds less puppies! I actually started cheering when I read it!

Just thought you guys would like to hear some good news for a change....

That is great! Do you know where it is because I may know which one you are talking about. Is it by any chance in Maine? There is one closing down there.

Re: Local puppy farm closing down!!!!

This one is in England - so I doubt its the one you're thinking of! But every one that closes brings us one step closer! I can't even begin to imagine how many puppies that will save - this place had an ad out every single week, with between 15 and 20 different litters listed every time, plus various crosses as well. Hopefully maybe the local rescues will get a break at last!
