Some people are just jerks the world over. I can't believe someone who could go to a rehoming shelter would take issue with the fact that they couldn't have an animal for Christmas. Ugh. The SSPCA don't go public often, but so far in the last two months their Edinburgh shelter is full to bursting, they have 48 rabbits there alone, and now this. It's such a shame that someone with enough goodness in them to adopt an animal would then throw a hissy fit because they couldn't have it right there and then. Animals don't deserve to be dumped twice. People get so defensive when you tell them they're doing something wrong. See the link people, rehoming before Christmas means that some animals will probably be taken as gifts. Ugh, I despair at the human race sometimes. Anyway, here's a link from the local paper with the details.
