Pet Shop Flooded: Around 40 animals die. Pets Die As Droitwich Shop Goes Under Water (from Worcester News) I guess these are only a few of the unlucky animals who have suffered in the floods. Apparantly rescue was impossible - it must be really upsetting for the owners, but I wonder if once they are running again they will sell animals still; it could flood again in the future. *Touch Wood* it doesn't! I hope there aren't any more stories like this

Re: Pet Shop Flooded: Around 40 animals die. Thats aweful, I really hope they don't re-open. Something similar happened to a petshop here.. but it was a fire.. I think the rescued all of the dogs and cats, but most of the small animals and bird died. It was horrid, and they are re-opening

Re: Pet Shop Flooded: Around 40 animals die. The veterinarian I work for has a brother who is also a veterinarian in Kansas. They had bad storms and the clinic was basically destroyed and was completely flooded. Animals were in the cages and he tried to get to them but apparently he couldn't. I can't even begin to imagine how scary that is to be trapped in a cage and you can't get out. Then, to have to go in there and find all the animals you cared for dead. It's a horrible thing.
