Vick charged with torturing, killing dogs in Virginia indictment - CNN.com A Virginia grand jury has indicted suspended Atlanta Falcons quarterback Michael Vick and three co-defendants on state charges of running a dogfighting ring at Vick's Virginia home, prosecutors said Tuesday. Suspended Atlanta Falcons quarterback Michael Vick faces sentencing on federal charges in December. The Surry County grand jury brought two charges against Vick: one count of unlawfully torturing and killing dogs and one of promoting dogfights. Each is a felony charge that could result in a five-year prison term. |

| Re: Mike Vick involved in dog fighting I agree. It should have been more but it steps up the precedent that it is unacceptable to enforce cruelty and that those that do will be punished. Hurray!!!! |

| Re: Mike Vick involved in dog fighting I am glad that he got some prison time but it wasn't long enough. I would like to see him get a life sentence but 23 months is better than nothing. |
