People are so cruel. How could you possibly be mean enough to take someone's pet, any animal even, and knowingly send it to a place where it will be tortured for the rest of its life.

Along with that, many cats and dogs are stolen every year to be used illegally for fur. It is horrible, I can't even bear to think about my golden being stolen and used for experiments.

Oh my GOD. The "Fur is Dead" video is absolutely horrifying. I got chills. I simply do not understand in the farthest reaches of my soul how someone could do something so horrid for a purpose as completely trivial as fashion. It's videos like these that make me question humankind at times. I just don't understand. I mean, when my cat brings in a mouse I always take it in and nurse it back to health when I can, or at least provide comfort while it is dying (usually with tears in my eyes). It used to be said that animals have no feelings, well I believe animals feel much MORE than humans because they don't rely on abstract thought. They need their feelings to guide them, and in those situations they can only feel the pain and suffering, with no way to defend themselves and no idea as to what will happen next. The more I see these articles, the more committed I become to making these practices stop PERMANENTLY.

I saw that Fur Is Dead video with Trent Reznor a couple of months ago and was absolute HORRIFIED. I watch E-vets and Animal Cops on Animal Planet a lot and am usually digusted by the way some people treat animals, but I have never in my life seen anything THAT horrid (by the way, kudos to ANYONE in that profession (animal cops) because that is something I simply could NOT do and keep my cool).

The fact that they steal these cats and dogs for fur is bad enough, but the way they so blantantly disregard them, throwing them around and kicking them like they are NOTHING....it just makes me absolutely SICK.
