I'm so upset. I cannot remember crying this much ever. Winifred is just as upset as I am, if not more so. I came home to her crying, standing over his body. Since then she has not stopped throwing the contents of her cage around, continuously crying.
We put up a hard fight to beat his malocclusion, received great advice and even saw improvement through the use of a chin sling. But overnight he became so much weaker, lasting only two days after that. Even knowing that we fought hard and tried everything we could isn't making the slightest difference to how I feel right now.
I miss him so damn much and can't believe I won't ever see him again.

I'm so sorry. I really cry when I lose one of my little ones, too. Once, when the mom of a mom-daughter pair of mine passed, the daughter buried her under the bedding and was standing next to the mound when I got home. I think they understand the loss, too, and miss them.
