Although Lily passed a few months ago, there is no amount of time that can take away how special this little boo-boo butt was to me. I first saw he at Petco, up for adoption, in a very small cage with no room. They told me she was 2 years old (already) and had never been handled, because she bit the owner all the time. But I was up for the challenge.
Lily had developed a huge cyst on her side, the size of a half dollar, and the vets kept telling me,"oh, it's too dangerous to remove it, because the anastysia could kill her". So Lily went on for 5 years with that Darn cyst until FINALLY it popped! They HAD to take it off of her now.
After that, one time, she had gotten nervous on the bed when I left the room (afraid I was going to touch her cyst area) and she fell of the bed! Poor Lily. I still don't know what damage that did to her. Soon after that, I found out she had a stone in her bladder and arthritis in her legs. But one thing that she did that made me care about her so much, was that after I got rid of her cyst, she would lick my face constantly when I held her!I think she knew I was responsible for getting that thing off of her side. This went on for 6 months, until she died. I don't know if she died because of the fall, the cyst or the stone. But the last 6 months Lily had were the best for her and i. It's been about 6 months since Lily's been gone, and a new pig has taken her spot. But I can't help but cry when I look at her picture. Lily was a real trooper. And is sorely missed.
