Our Sweet Baby TeeJay

We had to have TeeJay, our special baby, euthanized yesterday. The vet said she had never seen such an aggressive URI.

She was started on Bactrim Saturday afternoon because she had started squeeking when she peed. She was doing fine except for being a little tired. Monday morning we awoke to find her so limp and almost lifeless that the vet said she was beyond treatment (it was very obvious to us too).

I was able to hold her while she was tranquilized so I could be with her while she left this world. I helped her mommy give birth to her, so I wanted to help her cross the bridge too.

Our hearts are hurting so bad for our little baby. We only had her 3 very short years (her birthday was April 8).

We miss your wheeks, baby. We miss seeing your little face watching the kitchen for any sign of food. We miss giving you piggy massages under your blankie. We miss your middle-of-the-night chirping. We miss everything about you because you gave us such joy everyday.

We love you baby-doll, and we hate this huge, empty space you left in our life and our hearts.

We're so glad we spent a lot of time with her (and do all of our babies) because time is short. Sometimes much shorter than we think it will be.

Rest in Peace our precious little angel. You will never, ever be forgotten. Two lives were blessed by you. We love you.

I send you my deepest sympathy for your loss. It is a very hard thing to go through. I can tell by how you spoke of your baby, there was no moment that she ever doubted your love for her. As we all know, our piggies are a blessing and should be treated as the little jewels they are!! Again, I am so very sorry.

And dont worry, I have a few piggies up there with her to keep her company!!

Yes, she knew every second of her very short life that she was special and loved. In fact...she was spoiled rotten (we made sure that she was!).

We love to spoil all of our rescues and treat them like the special little blessings that they are.
