We had to put one of my guinea pigs Jinx to sleep about a year ago. All of the sudden she couldn't walk anymore and she was having seizures that never ended, her little body was constantly twitching and it got a lot worse, her heart rate was going down and the vet came out and asked us if in case she stopped breathing, should they recessitate her. She was getting worse by the minute, she evenually didn't know what was going on, her eyes were just staring into space. We had to take her to the 24hr. animal hospital 30 mins. away. There was no way to tell what happened to her, she was perfectly fine the night before, nothing wrong, running around and everything. And suddenly she couldn't walk, screaming in pain, trouble breathing, and seizures. She couldn't eat or drink, there was no way to save her, there was no question she was in pain, and we had to put her to sleep. When we brought her in she was just twitching, and by the time I went to say goodbye, she was having full blown seizures, she was laying there her body just in constant violent seizures. There was no question we had to put her to sleep, she wouldn't have made it through the night they said, I was in tears the whole time, she was only 3 years old, and we had to watch our other guinea pig Coco because there is this infection she could have had that can be passed to her and to us, it just came so suddenly, there isn't a way to find out what happened, but I miss her so much, and now Coco is all alone. But she is up in heaven with my other babies, especially Jasper, he liked her and now they are together.I just miss her so much, she had such a cool personality, I love you Jinx and always will, I miss you so much. You will always be remembered, and we will all be together again!
