Today I had to make the hardest decision I've had to make in a long time. I had to put my feelings aside and say good bye to Piggles. We have been facing a long uphill battle for his recovery, and he has been slipping farther behind. It took me a few days to get up the courage to let him go, I just did not want to. But he has lost 2 pounds in the last month or so, and was still continuing to loose the weight steadily despite us trying to treat with heart meds and checking and rechecking his teeth a thousand times. He has not been with me long, but I grew very attached to him. He was the sweetest pig of the bunch. Always begging me with those big baby eyes for an extra veggie treat. I wish he could have been here longer. A part of me feels like I let him down. Like I didn't do enough. Which makes it that much harder. Good Bye my Sweet Boy. I will always love you. you did absoulutly everything in you rpower to help Piggles. I'm sure he doesn't think you let him down in the leadt way. Right now he's rpobably doing popcorns in heaven to thank you and is plump from all the food he's getting! THat was so brave of you to make that desicion. It was a very good choice. I'm so sorry... |

Oh my goodness. I am so sorry. That's a very cute picture you made for him. Don't blame yourself. He must be pretty gratefull to of had an owner that was willing to do whatever it takes to make his days as best as possible. There is no wrong doing there. |

Z&H - I'm so sorry to hear about Piggles. I know you made the right decision to let him go and end his pain, but I know it's so hard. Hugs to you and your other pigs. |

Thanks so much everyone. Piggles has been buried at the far end of my yard where there always is an abundance of dandelions. He really loved dandelions, so I thought it was a great place for his final spot. I do miss him so much. |
