Memorial Vid. I made for my Whiskie

Whiskers "Whiskie" was my first pig, and first pet that was actually mine. I got her when I was pretty young, I'm not sure exactly how old but I think I was only in 1st or 2nd, maybe even 3rd grade. Which was before I found this site, and I did everything wrong. She had a small cage- it fit on my nightstand, cedar shaving because I thought they smelled good, mineral wheel and salt licks, crappy seeded pellets, very little hay (alfalfa), was the only pig, and the only veggies she got was a leaf or 2 of lettuce and a chunk of carrot everynight for her whole life. And after finding this site and reading all the pages I was nearly in tears because of the way I kept her, she was my best friend and I thought that she was happy, but I was so wrong. I wanted more than anything for her to meet another Guinea Pig, to play in a pile of hay, and to try new veggies. I wanted to see her popcorn or run a mad lap, but it was too late, she was already gone.
I remember beign rough with her and forgetting to clean her cage so many times, I regret it sooo much now that I know better. I wish that she could come back, even just for a day so I could show her what being a pig should really be like, I'd let her play in Chewie and Charlie's 12' by 14' floortime area, if it was nice out I'd let her play in there outside play pen that is about 1/2 the size of our house, I'd give her a true salad that included Bell Peper, Tomato, Parsley, Cilanto, Cucumber and other veggies not just lettuce and carrot, I would give her a huge pile of grass hay to play in for the first time in her life, and I would some how find another female pig for her to meet and play with...if only I could; if only a fairy would come and say she'd grant me one wish.
She meant the world to me, she was with me though all the good times and bad. She was my only friend at some times, we moved alot when I was young and I spent a lot of time missing my friends who lived hours away and I was too young to know to call them. I would sit with this group of girls at lunch but I never talked to them I just didnt want to feel like a loser sitting alone. I would come home and cry myself to sleep with Whiskie in my arms. She was my only friend at home or at school, my siblings and I were not close at all and I was angery at my parents for making us move but now I know it had to be done, because of my Grandma. After Whiskie died I was really sad and exetremely lonely. Luckliy, not long after she died I met a friend, my neighbor she was nice we were pretty different but we had fun and we hung out alot. About a year after my Whiskie died, we moved back to my favorite town, back to my old school and where my friends are. We still live here to this day. I miss my girl dearly I'm not sure what I would had done with out her.

Here is a memorial video I made for her, the pictures arent very good quality because I was like 10 or 12 when I took most of them, and because I had to scan them into the computer and we dont have a very good scanner. Well, here it is:
The song is 4am forever By Lostprophets....you have to click it to make it play, it may come up in another window.

I love you Whiskie: October 19th 1997 to September 3rd 2003 - she was about 7 years old.

Re: Memorial Vid. I made for my Whiskie

Shes is amazingly gorgeous, and I love how the pictures of her are so random. She looks so much like my old Georgie boy. He too lived to be about 7 years old, and he lived in almost the same conditions as Whiskie did. But what I know is that they are such precious little creatures, and though may not of had the perferred living area, but still were happy to have a loving owner like you. For a guinea pig to live that long, you should be proud. My feelings go out to you and Whiskie!

That was the sweetest video I've ever watched. That almost made me cry.
