Will miss you Sprinkles & Gingersnap

Its been a very rough few days! We lost our girl Gingersnap yesterday at 12:15 pm she was in my lap when she passed. And we came home tonight to find our Sprinkles gone too. OH my this is hard! I have spent so much time trying to get them healthy. Sprinkles has been on meds for some time and last Tuesday when we went to the Vet her lungs were better. Ginger was doing ok but had been sneezing ocasionally so they were both on meds. Sat Ginger started looking bad and had Diarea and I was really worried then. I was giving her fluids but she wouln't eat. I called the Vet in the morning, but She died the before we could get there. Sprinkles was acting ok but today around 4:30 she had some very soft stools so I was worried about her too. We left for a little while to do Christmas stuff and came home and she was gone too. I loved them very much and I am scared to get any more for fear of this again. I can't find anywhere in my area to adopt and when I did and got Gingersnap she was taken from mom to early. I miss them and I had fun with them while they were with us! We Loved you girls!

awww, I am sorry for you...Well hopefully they are in a better place and they got to go together. I wish you and those girls the best.

I am so, so sorry!I know there's not really much I or anyone else can say to make you feel much better. I dread the days MyGuys pass. One thing to think about is at least they went to Rainbow Bridge together-it's a beautiful place and they have no more pain-and My Little Coco meets all the newcomers and makes them feel welcome. Thanks to all of you. I am taking this hard. I can't even go into their room without crying. I know they are not suffering now. Thanks again for the kind thoughts though.

I too, just lost a little piggy. I know exactly how you feel. I feel slightly better knowing that he is in a better place though, I am blowing up a picture of him and having it framed, this is something you may want to do too? It is good to cry. Your only human. Once again I am really sorry. Rest in peice.

My heart just really aches for you. It's been almost three years since My Coco went to the Bridge and I still get teary eyed. I have his ashes & I talk to him everyday. I can't even think about My Cotton or My Sunshine dying without getting a lump in my throat. I wish I could magically take your pain away. The only thing that helps is time. Took me 6 months to stop crying everyday. At least the girls left you wonderful memories, plus you have the memory of knowing that they were happy and knew that they were loved.

I am so sorry! I know how it feels, well I haven't ever lost a guinea pig, but I have lost a pet before, and its hard!! It took me a long time to stop crying, and even now, and then, I have a good cry over him.

I'm so sorry for your loss. My sweet boy Shadow died in November. I was so heartbroken, I couldn't stop crying. My 5 girls missed him too. My husband found 2 boys up for adoption and we gave them a home. Don't be scared of getting more guinea pigs.. you're a great piggy mom, who obviously cares and loves very deeply. Saying many prayers for you.
