I'm sorry, Spike.

My Spikey passed away yesterday. I found him a few days before, wet underneath and slightly wheezy. The vet gave him some Baytril but he stopped eating and just lay around the cage. The next day we took him back to the vet who gave him more antibiotics and a couple of other things, he didn't even squeel when he was injected. Before we went in I saw a magpie on the roof, One for sorrow, I hoped so bad it wouldn't be true. We cuddled him up warm for the walk home and when we got home I sat with him while he lay in the carrier. He lay there not moving much for a couple of hours, then he took a few last gasping breaths and passed away.

I told him how I sorry I was, I just felt hopeless as I sat there watching him struggle to breath any more. I'm sorry if I wasn't the best piggy mum Spike but you bought so much joy to my life and I'm never going to forget you. I think Ozzy's missing you and so am I. I wish you were still here and now there's no one to wheek wheek wheek until I give you some grass or do your trick of sitting up to beg for veggies.
I'm so sorry baby. I don't know what else I could do for you.

You did all you could and you were a very good piggy mom ((((*hugs*)))) be strong for ozzy and give him a cuddle for me. xx .

Oh my...I'm so sorry for your loss. You were a grest piggy parent and he knew that I'm sure. You tried everything to help him and I know this is a painful time. RIP little one. I'm sorry this happened and you'll be in my thoughts.

Oh FOTH I am so sorry to hear about your beloved Spikey. He was a very handsome chap, and he'll know how much you loved him. Give some extra hugs to Ozzy. I'll be thinking of you.

Spikey was beautiful, I'm so sorry for your loss. It wasn't your fault, you did everything you could and I'm sure Spikey knew he was very much loved

Yesterday I heard Ozzy wheek for the first time ever which cheered me up
