My baby of four years passed away on the 30th. I have been crying for the past three days. My parents don't understand. We are going to have him cremated, and I'm going to spread his ashes in or back field.

We went to the local shelter to look at pigs, but they didn't have any (But millions of cats). There was this little dog and we might adopt her. We then went to the larger shelter and they had six gorgeous (Though un socialized with people) females, all around 1-2 years. One pig is 35$, and I would never think of seperating any two, so I need to get over 150$ (Without a job) for the pigs (70$) cage (40-50$) and all other things (Housing, bedding, food.) When one of our rotts pass away, my mom doesn't get another for a few months. I am different. I need another pig to help me get through the pain easier. The other two who died almost two years ago weren't as painful because I had atleast one other pig to help me. Now I don't, and my parents think that I would like to have a dog instead. If I had the choice between two pigs and a dog right now, I would choose the pigs in an instant (We already have a rott). I'm so upset, and with no job and only 30$ to my name, I don't know what to do... ;(

I'm so sorry. Maybe ask your parents if you can do some things around the house for some money.

I get 20$ a month from doing dishes, but it doesn't add up to fast. I'm going into town tomorrow to look around anywhere for some place to work.

I'm sorry, Faunn. To get up the money, you might be able to find people who need a petsitter(since it sounds like you want to be around animals right now), wash your parents' car(s), and do other jobs like washing clothes.

Thnks, those are good ideas. Well update:
-We went to county and they had six piggers, and guess what? They were all girls, two in each cage, and had everything that is recommended; 2x4 cage, hay, hay, hay!, houses, pellet food, everything! They rabbits were so spoiled! They were also 35$ each, so I was thinking about it.
Next day, we went to this private shelter to look for small dogs. I was allowed to look at there four pigs. And theres the problem. They had no housing, small 1x2 cages and no hay. From the prices on the dogs (250$! For fixing, microchip, shots, etc...Saying its because there nonprofit; the local shelter does all of that to, and the dogs are only 100$) I'm sure they'll be expensive.
