Just recently my bird passed away... He got his head stuck in the door and It broke his neck  We were so close.. It was like he was part of the family. I still can't get over It. It's so different in my room without him in there chirping and flying around. He died in my hands in the car when we were rushing to the emergency vet hospital... come to find out It was WAY across town. Our usual vet wouldn't make time to see him.(He was going on a date I think) and we were freaking out. It was horrible. But I'll always miss him and I'm glad for the time we had together. Information leading to knowledge of age edited out. Not many people can believe that I got him from petsmart because pet shop birds usually only last a week.R.I.P Sammy bird! I'm so sorry...that must have been horrible. I' ve had many birds over the years, and I know how attached you get to them. They're so innocent and sweet. I also lost one to a terrible cage accident one time, so I understand how awful you feel. At least he had a good life with you. He was very pretty, too. Hang in there...it will get easier. |

Sorry to hear about Sammy bird. The same thing happened to one of my little babies. I know it's hard when it's a shock like that. My thoughts are with you. |
