I thought he was improving. He was gaining weight, by the looks of things, he had vit. C defiency from his last owner so I gave him extra vit. C and I was hand feeding him and watching him closley. Then at about 8 he started falling over and shaking and seizing. Then about 5 minutes later he was just lying there, bearly breathing. None of the vets were open and I couldn't find a house number. About 15 minutes after that he passed away. I'm sooo upset. I think I'm gonna go drown my sorrows with some McDonalds. I'll be back in about 15. It makes me feel like such a bad mommy.

Oh Chloe I am so sorry. You were working so hard with him. At least he had a great mom to be with in the end. Please don't feel bad, you did everything you could.

I'm sorry for your loss.

It's so hard, caring for them sometimes, wishing they could tell you what it is that hurts. You did your best, just like any good piggie mommy would.

I know, I thought he was doing good. And it was out of no where... he and Caesar were playing (chasing each other around... I know it sounds like they weren't playing but there were) and then Macbeth kind of tripped and started seizing and stuff. I took down the girls loft for it. *sigh*. I'm worried that Caesar will be lonley. I don't know what I'm suppose to do for a burial. There's like 3 feet of snow. I guess I'll make him a special box for the freezer. Does that sound bad? I guess it's kind of like a mini morgue (sp?)... The McDonalds helped a little though.

You could have him cremated and then bury his ashes when the snow melts away.

dagwell... that was such a heartwarming story, it really did make me feel better. It makes me feel better about when I was crying earlier. Macbeth is the 4th guinea pig that I've lost. Just for memories sake I'm gonna post pics of the other ones.

Mini (mommy of the other 2, died shortly after the babies were born... kinda funny, we had no clue she was preggers... I though she was just fat)

Woodstock (died in my arms... not sure why, showed no symptoms of being sick until about a half hour before)

Pepsi (was living with my b/f before we lived together. I wasn't allowed to keep the all babies. She died a few days after Woodstock. I think she knew that something happened to Woodstock)

Caesar is beyond lonley. He keeps chewing the grids and 'kissing' the girls (mostly Piglet and Chu Chu) through the grids. I guess the only thing to do is to get him fixed. Then they can have a... oh crap. I don't even know how to do the dimentions of their cage. It's an 'L'.. I'll draw a pic.

It wasn't suppose to be funny but they look like cavies on wheels. Not exactly accurate or to scale, but if you have a C&C then you know what I'm talking about.

It's actually easy to clean. That is the exact type of cage I have right now with the exception of my 2nd level. Good luck. I'm sure he'd love to be with the girls. I hope everything turns out ok for you.

PS Nice drawing. I wish I could figure out how to do one of those.

LOL that was my amazing paint skills. I just feel bad because the girls only have 2x2 more grids then he does. I kinda want to make it fair. Because all he does is hide in his pigloo or go flirt with the girls. Right now, theres no coro on the bottom of Caesar's part, I haven't been motivated enough to go get some, besides, he's happy on just fleece. Oohh by the by, his hair is really easy to brush and I haven't had any knots yet. I trimmed it the slightest bit, to get rid of dead ends... wow I'm a girly girl.

Oh and I love how the cage wraps around the computer. Shane calls it 'the piggy office'.

That's so cute..the piggy office. I was thinking of changing my cage again but I've decided to leave it like this. I need to replace the coroplast on the 2nd level and I may enlarge the 2x2 to a 2x3 because I've used that as a quarantine area (for piggies that were injured not ill) and it didn't seem to be enough room. This way they can still see each other while the one heals (not that I'm hoping I'll need to do it for a LONG time.)

I hope so too Jenn! I'm always freaking out about my pigs. Cocoa screams when Shane or anyone picks her up, they're not rough with her, she's been like that since we got her. She's not as bad when I do it, still a fair amount of wheeking. But she's in perfect health. Maybe she got abused at the pet store and doesn't like people. But we're always like 'oh no! maybe we hurt her!' 'feel right here, does it feel funny'. The other day Shane was like 'Star has no bottom teeth, when she yawned I couldn't see them!'. But of course they were fine. Right now they're in a circle around the food bowl eating, chatting to each other.
