Memories of Nugget
It's hard to believe that my little Nugget has been gone three months this coming week. I found some old pics of him.



Here's when I first brought him home.

He was such a cutie!
It's hard to believe just how much it hurts when they leave us. My first boar, Rocky, died on Tuesday and it hurts so much. I'm finding it really hard to deal with. Just be glad he had a good life with you!

Oh I know he had a great life and wonderful brothers to make him feel loved all the time. Even if he and Smores got into tussles now and again. He loved to cuddle with Hercules and CC.

I am fairly new to the forum, and did not "know Nugget" but I am sorry for your loss. I know losing a pet who has become a family member is a difficult thing. Guinea pigs have such a short life, but they really make and keep a impact on our lives and in our hearts. May your Nugget rest in peace, and may you remember that you were loved and made a difference in his life.

I wish that God had made pet's lifespans the same as ours. Then we'd never have to say goodbye.

Of course, then we'd all have a hundred pets, but still.

Nugget was lucky to have had you as his "pet".

I know he's in a better place. It's just hard sometimes to get up in the morning head to the fridge and not hear his wheeking. He got all the other guinea pigs excited and they all line up for food.

I remember that day. Coming onto the forum and seeing that post. I can't imagine what I would do when my pigs pass on. It's great to just remember all the great times you had with him.

I was worried for a while about CC after what happened to his foot. Getting infected twice and losing Nugget. I was scared for a while. He's so much better now and since Glaze joined the crew he's become social again. He lost it for a while because Smores was bullying him after he came back after 3 weeks. The domination had fallen to Hercules and Smores took advantage of it. Of course now he's dealing with Glaze most of the time who is just as bad as him. Hence, CC is usually cuddling with Herc now.
