Nugget has passed away

I'm sad to say that Nugget has died. He was seizing so bad that I had no choice but to put him to sleep. He was my golden little Nugget. I loved him so much. What was really amazing is on the sad ride home to bury him. Howie Day's song: Collide played on the radio. When I got him backin June that son played twice on the way home. I loved him very much, he was my golden cavy. He's in a better place now and I will miss him every day.

Oh Ryan I am so sorry about Nugget. Losing a pet can be so difficult. He will always be with you, in your heart.

Ryan, I am soooo sorry! I feel your pain. Just this week I had to have Sunnie put to sleep. Her injury was too severe to fix. Just remember that Nugget is in a better place now with no pain. It was the right thing to do. Keeping Nugget alive would have been for your benefit and not to his. It was the right thing.

I was confused and thought he had the foot problem. Has he been ill? I'm sooooo sorry for you loss and pray that CC gets better soon.

CC had the bad foot from tearing a nail out on the hay rack. Don't forget if you need someone to talk to or a shoulder to lean on Ryan, that we're all here for you.

Aw gosh Ryan...I'm so sorry. Take your time to grieve. It will be good for yourself. In time, they'll be another little one lapping around the cage to fill the hole in your heart.

Nugget was either having toxic shock syndrome from a blockage or it was neuroligical but it was getting so bad that he kept falling over in pain. It was so hard to see and I couldn't let him keep sufforing like that. So, I made the call. As for CC, I'm praying, he really hates what has happned to him. He might be eating and drinking but he has a collar on to keep him from nipping at his food with a spout in it to keep it drained which I have to now clean twice a day directly and give him medician twice a day and he gets a fall cage clean every day.

Ryan, I'm soo sorry for your loss. It's really hard when it's so sudden like that. My best wishes are with you and I hope you know Nugget will be waiting for you on the other side of the rainbow bridge.
