Don't feel bad, I was the same before this site. They were both from the petstore. I had never seen anything like them before and thought they were adorable. If I were to get more pigs I would be the same as you, I'd get them from a shelter/rescue. Without knowledge, you don't think about things like that for small pets.
Well, I will be honest...I got Vinny before I found this website and realized the negative impact of breeding. I recognize that it is frowned upon, but he is from a breeder. Since then, I have rescued the other 8 from Craigslist adds and people who could no longer care for their pigs. How about Ernie and Barneby?

Thanks! I am glad they are finally done, it will be easier to take care of them. I spent more money then I planned. My kids are enjoying the fun, and the pigs are very social and happy with the action in the playroom.
