I love wrongplanet.net! It is great to find another Aspie out there who is also a guinea pig lover. I have a 14 year old son with Asperger's. He was diagnosed before me.

The skinnies are prone to certain health concerns (skin issues, eye problems)... And ouf course since they have no hair, we have to be sure they are out of drafts and have lots of warm places to cuddle up.

Those of you who know me well know that among our other well-loved pets, we are "keeper" to three beautiful pet snakes. Bathsheba (a kenyan sand boa), Erma (a ball python) and Rose (a Colombian Red Tailed Boa Constrictor) were all rescues, just like most of our pets. All came to us with health and socialization issues that were the result of abuse and/or neglect. All 3 required vet work to regain their health.

Snakes are not for everyone, and while I'd agree than in a...

My cat Puck went back into liver failure. He had another appointment at our regular vet tuesday morning, but he didn't make it that far. He spiraled downhill quickly that morning, and crossed the bridge (at the e-vet) about 7 a.m. He would have been just 7 next week. My sweet, little chubby kitten, who would have been bottlefed but for the fact that he refused to take it from a bottle. He'd take it from a dish, but only if he could STAND in it. It annoyed me at the time; up to his black fluffy knees...

I mentioned that I have a myspace and a facebook, though I guess I didn't say what either was. My username is the same on both, so if you choose to add me, feel free. On Myspace, while my page is not private, all the modules are, so if you want to see more, you'll need to add me. For both, I don't add random folks, so do be sure to send a message saying you know me from here (GPC).

I changed out the cage bedding the other day. The set that's in the cage currently has 3 different beds (2 are the same type, but one is bigger than the other), a hammock, and the usual hidey covers and mattress for the "bunk bed".
