was supposed to be 15 days?

My guinea pig's baytril has one dose left..my vet said she would be on it for 15 days,it made it 11 days,her nose cleared up and stuffy nose..should I get another refill of baytril and finish the 4 days that are left?just to be safe or?

I would call your vet and find out why you weren't prescribed a full 14 day course if that's what they recommended. Antibiotics require you to finish all the doses to be fully effective.

I am hesistant to say that 11 days was enough.

I would get some more baytril and call your vet. I'm sorry that your poor baby is (or was) sick. Hope she's gettin' better!

Baytril is such a weird med.it got knocked around a bit on the way home,some collected at the cap and when I opened it..some split out :/ so it was my fault,I went back today and got more to finish her 4 days:)

I'm thankful I did!I went back and got some more..she's much better!the Bactrim didn't knock it out but,the Baytril sure did.

I noticed her nose sounds like its sticking together???but no runny nose or coughing ..normal??

and its only when she's breathing fast when I pick her up..haven't handled her much since she was sick and then I got sick last Thursday

Not sure what you're describing but if it's different than what you are used to hearing it's probably not normal.

Also, on the baytril, I'd double check and be sure you're giving the right dose - most vets will give well over what is needed for the course of treatment they prescribe.

sounds just like her guinea pigs sound right when the video starts.. http://www.guineapigcages.com/forum/...ise-piggy.html she had a runny nose but it cleared up 100% she stopped wiping her nose and sneezing last week,she has 3 days left of Baytril now.She's gaining weight,not losing any and eats well too.She was very stuffy when I had brought her to the vet on 8-11-12,by the 4 day she was better and is much brighter than she was last week.
