Question Why is he doing this?

My pig has been kinda giving a sound when pooping a load. He doesnt seem to do it on the 2 drops but on the bigger load(5 drops). I dont know if its because of how much is going out or something else. I just wanted to make sure everything is fine with him and didnt know where to put this thread so I just put it here or what subject the prefix should be. Sorry if you misunderstand. I`m hoping your guinea pigs do the same so i`m not worried anymore.

It's not normal for pigs to make sounds when defecating. If he is straining to defecate, either it hurts him or it's difficult for him. Neither is normal and both are cause for concern.

Are you providing unlimited hay for your pig?

I'd place a white towel or cloth in a section of your cage where you feed him so you can see if there's any blood. Straining, hunching or whimpering can also mean a urinary tract infection or stones. Blood usually indicates one of the two.

He doesnt strain I know that much. I have a bed I made with a white towel on it and he has peed on it about 3 or 4 times and its yellow. He doesnt have trouble pooping I know that much because the cage is filled more with his than his brothers! and yes @CavyMama he always has unlimited hay.

This is just from my experience, but Picckalo had basically a hidden urinary tract infection. We'd noticed that he'd dropped weight at a weekly weigh-in, and started weighing him daily. He continued to drop weight over a couple of days and then started crying when he was pooping / peeing. His urine was normal yellow. We got him an appointment with his vet based on the weight loss and crying. The vet did a urinalysis, and he had a UTI. I mention this because a pig (or a person) can still be spilling blood in their urine, without it showing up visually in the urine.
