Should I?
I have gotten a new little boy who is living fine so far with my big boys.
- I had gotten my big boys neutered, should I get little Ronnie neutered when he is old enough to be?
- Will it be okay if he is away from them for a couple of days?
- If I don't get him neutered will he get a grease gland ?

Re: Should I?
I wouldn't neuter him, it's risky and there is no real need to, except that he won't get impaction and such.

Re: Should I?
I would like to get him Neutered, but what I would really like to know is if it be okay if he is away from them for a couple of days?

Re: Should I?
You would have to re-introduce them most likely. Though I still would say not to neuter him, it's unnecessary and risks your pig's life.

Re: Should I?
Ditto to PigPandemonium.
I've always believed that neutering should only be left to certain circumstances. Example a male guinea pig absolutely won't get along with other males but will get along with females.
Neutering a guinea pig isn't like neutering a male dog. For a small animal it is a very risky procedure and it's not like the guinea pig is roaming around on a daily basis around random other guinea pigs like a dog does.

Re: Should I?
@RodentCuddles , he's got a grease gland, and always will have. Neutering has nothing to do with the grease gland. Some pigs' glands get greasy and yucky on a regular basis, others' dont.
If you don't have any females, why are you getting him neutered?

Re: Should I?
I do Have one girl, hopefully will be getting her a friend. But I was thinking just in case my little brother decide Trixie needed to play with Ronnie and I really do not want to get Trixie pregnant. But as I don't want to put little Ronnie in harms way or upset him, Rex and Bubbles I will just leave it.

I don't intend on Trixie ever meeting the boys. (:

Re: Should I?
Is it possible you could educate your little brother as to why Ronnie or any of the other males shouldn't be with Trixie?
Also, how old is your little brother? I firmly believe in children being under close supervision when handling animals.
