What do I need to bring?

Hi so I am bringing my 3 pigs in to the vet on satudray, I want a checklist of what I need to bring. The vet is a 30 minute drive each way. So far I have a carrier, Ivermectin, hay, my list of concerns, my new patient papers, and a list of dangerous medications. What else will I need?

Will I need a water bottle for the ride?

If it is only thirty mins away, I wouldnt worry to much about a water bottle. However, there is no harm in bringing one.

Why do you thave the ivectermin?

I personally would being a few leaves of lettuce and some carrots to throw in the carrier on the way to/from the vet, and in the waiting room. Thou, it is not totally nessceary.

Are you just going for a check up?

The veggies are a good idea for helping them not to get thirsty if you choose some with a high water content.

we ordered some online because we were advised to by some forum members for a piggy biting and wont let me hold her. I dont feel comfortable giving it to her until the vet says too. yes its for a check up and yes it is a cavy-savy vet. Alright I think Ill pack some cucumber and maybe some carrot.

Ivectermin is usually used for mites. Is that what your using it for?

Thats what they told me I should use it for. They said my piggies might have mites and could be the cause for her biting and not letting me touch her. We ordered some from this little piggy marketplace. I am not going to use it until my vet advises me to, just to be safe.

Maybe put something in there from their cage, like a small toy that they are used to. My carrier had hay, pellets, a water bottle and a toy when I took my piggies to the vet. I also put the seatbelt through the handle to make sure they were nice and secure in the car. Good luck, I hope they get better. :)

Thank you! Ill be holding the carrier to make sure they are doing okay. Plus I like watching them run up to the carrier door, while they give me piggie kisses!

Cozy blanket from home
Piggie treats with water
Hay cubes
Somewhere to hide
